William S. Galvano, right, received the William C. Grimes Award for Lifetime Achievement in Community Service and Scott B. Kallins received the Community Service Leader Award. Galvano was elected to the Florida House in 2002 and subsequently re-elected. He has been very active in educational issues through the Manatee Education Foundation and his work in the Legislature. Kallins chaired the Manatee County YMCA from 2003-07 and remains active with the organization. Since 2005, he has served as head coach of the Sarasota Military Academy Lacrosse team.
