Courtesy/PEECPEEC News:Become familiar with the seasonal skies at the Los Alamos Nature Center.Friday July 14, 8-10 p.m., join John Lorenzen for a fascinating astronomy presentation at the Los Alamos Nature Center. This two-hour program will begin in the planetarium and include an introduction to seasonal constellations. After becoming familiar with celestial features, stanley france the group will view stanley kaufen the night sky via telescopes, weather permitting.Lorenzen has enjoyed guiding learners of all ages in the wonders of astronomy. He has worked in a variety of natural places, including in the mountains above Los Angeles, along Lake Geneva in Wisconsin, on the shores of the Great Lakes, and here in the vast spaces of northern New Mexico.In addition, he is a member of the Santa Fe Tour Gui stanley usa des Association and an ethnobotanist, having studied plants with an Ojibwe medicine woman. He also is an actor, writer and an artist. John has a degree in environmental education and an MA in teaching.Registration is required for this program and is available at peecnature.org or by calling 505.662.0460.
